Once the potential victim falls into their trap, they start demanding fees in the nature of registration charges, document verification, interview scheduling, uniform advantage, etc. After extracting a large sum from the victim, they stop further communication.

- No recruiter whether genuine or not will ask for large sums of money for document verification, KYC update, processing fees, etc
- Fraudsters often impersonate genuine companies or consultancy firms by using similar kinds of emails and logos. Kindly verify the details of the company before making any payment for job consultations.
- Look and find the online history and complaints of the firm on the online forum. If one is defrauding you, they must have done it earlier. Check for reviews as well.
- Check and Verify from the said reputed employer whose job has been offered, about the genuineness of the offer. Use contact details given on the company’s official website to seek clarification. Do not seek clarification from company officials referred to by the job consultant. They are probably part of the gang trying to cheat you.
- Do not fall into the trap of spoofed email ids and calls. Check for them from alternate channels online and search complaints online as well.

- Brief facts of the case about how you got in touch with the fraud and what happened
- Take a screenshot of the website with its URL clearly visible.
- It is important to Take the full header only from the first receiver’s email account (not from the forwarded ones).
- Collect as much as documentary evidence( bank transaction passbook, mobile screenshot, chat printout, etc.
- lodge a complaint in the nearest cyber cell police station and tell them while the incidence and make sure the investigating officer writes the full incidence
- Save the soft copy of all above-mentioned documents in soft form and provide them to the Investigating Officer on a CD-R and also give a hard copy.
